Our
low flow .5 gpm faucet aerators are well suited for bathrooms, washing hands and brushing teeth. There is little noticeable difference in water flow compared to 1.0 gpm aerators. In comparison to standard 2.2 gpm aerators, the .5 gpm aerator reduces the flow rate by 77%. All of these aerators are made in the USA and most are Watersense® certified!
Does your faucet comply with the legal flow rate requirements?
Under Federal Law - The Energy Policy Act of 1992, all kitchen and bathroom faucets are limited to a maximum flow of 2.2 gallons per minute (gpm) at a pressure of 60 psi.
Faucets installed in public lavatories must deliver a maximum flow of
0.5 gpm (ultra low flow spray) or 0.25 gpc (gallons per cycle) for metering/electronic faucets.
