The
0.35 gpm ultra low flow PCA (pressure compensating) aerator spray models provide a flow rate reduction up to 84% as compared to the standard 2.2 gpm aerator. The wide spray is ideal for hand washing stations.
The aerator is AB 1953 compliant and Vermont S-152.
Under Federal Law, all faucets installed in public lavatories (exposed to walk-in traffic) must deliver a maximum flow of 0.5 gpm or 0.25 gpc (gallons per cycle) for metering/electronic faucets.
PCA (pressure compensating products) - provide a constant, consistent flow regardless of variations inline pressure. Standard aerators are typically flow restricted, using a fixed orifice to control flow rate. They work great if the line pressure is around 60 psi. If it is much lower, the flow rate will be insufficient; if it is higher, water and energy will be wasted. This PCA aerator will maintain a constant flow of 0.35 gpm regardless of water pressure.
Aerators are fully listed to the applicable US standards ANSI/ASME A112.18.1 (performance, construction quality and endurance) and ANSI/NSF61 (drinking water safety). Note that most other competitive aerators are NOT listed. Their marking "A112.18.1" on the housing side is NOT an indication of listing.
